Steam Locomotives

Lovely Locomotives

Our partner railways operate a variety of wonderful steam locomotives from their fleets, each with its own history and character. These powehouses of the past vary in size, weight and length, and once performed a wide range of roles during the golden age of steam.

**On rare occasions, the host railway may need to substitute the steam locomotive to a diesel locomotive for reasons including, but not limited to, mechanical failure and lineside fire risk during periods of dry weather. Should this occur, your booking will still go ahead, and we will offer you an alternative additional steam train journey at another time.
